Let Brotherly Love Continue
📖 Hebrews 13:1–6
¹ Brotherly love is to continue among believers. ² They must not forget to show hospitality to strangers, because some have unknowingly welcomed angels. ³ They are to remember prisoners as though imprisoned with them, and those who are mistreated as though they themselves were suffering in the body. ⁴ Marriage is to be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept undefiled, because God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. ⁵ Their lives are to be free from the love of money, and they are to be content with what they have, because God has said He will never leave them or forsake them. ⁶ Therefore, believers may boldly say that the Lord is their Helper, and they will not fear what man can do to them.

Go To Jesus Outside The Camp
📖 Hebrews 13:10–14
¹⁰ Believers have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. ¹¹ Under the Old Covenant, the bodies of animals whose blood was brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin were burned outside the camp. ¹² In the same way, Jesus also suffered outside the gate, so that He might sanctify the people through His own blood. ¹³ Therefore, believers are to go out to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. ¹⁴ Here believers have no lasting city, but they seek the city that is to come.
🔹 The Truth
The sacrifice of Christ is greater than the Old Covenant altar.
Jesus suffered outside the gate.
Jesus sanctifies His people through His own blood.
Believers are called to identify with Christ, even when it brings reproach.
This world is not the believer’s lasting city.
God’s people seek the city that is to come.
🔹 The Promise
Jesus sanctifies His people through His own blood, and they have a city to come.
✅ Conclusion
Following Christ may bring reproach, but believers belong to Him. Their hope is not in this present world, but in the lasting city God has promised.
Offer Sacrifices Pleasing To God
📖 Hebrews 13:15–17
¹⁵ Through Jesus, believers are to continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, the fruit of lips that confess His name. ¹⁶ They must not forget to do good and to share, because such sacrifices are pleasing to God. ¹⁷ They are to obey those who lead them and be submissive, because those leaders watch over their souls as ones who must give account. Believers should let them do this with joy and not with grief, because that would not be profitable for them.
🔹 The Truth
Praise is offered to God through Jesus Christ.
The sacrifice of praise should continue.
Believers should openly confess the name of the Lord.
Doing good and sharing are sacrifices pleasing to God.
